How to Use the Basin MCP in Cline
Let Cline build UIs with your live Basin form data. Your agent can now fetch, filter, and manage submissions directly from VS Code.
Works with every AI agent you already use
…and any MCP-compatible client
Connect Basin MCP to Cline
Create your Vinkius account to connect Basin to Cline and route execution through our secure gateway. The platform manages server hosting, runtime updates, and security layers. Configuration requires no manual server provisioning.
Build Components with Real Data
This MCP Server lets Cline read your Basin form data directly. Tell your agent to build a dashboard component that displays recent leads. It will use `list_form_submissions` to get the data and then write the actual code for you. Cline doesn't just show you the data; it builds with it. It can create new files, import the data, and generate a working React or Vue component based on your form's structure, which it gets using `get_form`.
Manage Submissions from Your IDE
You don't have to log into a web dashboard to manage your form submissions anymore. Just open Cline and ask it to `list_submissions`. You can review entries, identify spam, and then tell your agent to clean it up. Tell Cline to 'Mark submission #12345 as spam,' and it will use the `mark_as_spam` tool. It's a faster way to handle the routine work of managing incoming leads and feedback.
A Better Backend Dev Experience
When you're working on a system that reacts to form submissions, you need to test your webhooks. Instead of submitting a form over and over, just tell Cline to `refire_webhooks` for an existing submission. You get a direct, repeatable way to trigger backend processes right from your editor. This makes debugging your webhook handlers much faster than manually testing the whole flow.
