How to Use the Basin MCP in Windsurf
Let Windsurf manage your Basin forms for you. Set a goal, like 'find and flag all spam from last week,' and watch Cascade get it done.
Works with every AI agent you already use
…and any MCP-compatible client
Connect Basin MCP to Windsurf
Create your Vinkius account to connect Basin to Windsurf and route execution through our secure gateway. The platform manages server hosting, runtime updates, and security layers. Configuration requires no manual server provisioning.
Triage Submissions Autonomously
This MCP Server connects Windsurf to your Basin form backend. You can now ask Cascade to find the latest submissions, and it'll use `get_latest_submission` or `list_form_submissions` to pull them right into your IDE. From there, you can tell it to filter out the junk. Cascade can chain `get_submission` with `mark_as_spam` to clean up your inbox without you having to check it manually. It just handles it.
Manage Forms with Windsurf
Don't leave your editor to check on your forms. Just ask Windsurf to list them out with `list_forms`. It will show you everything in your Basin account. Once connected, you can give Cascade bigger goals. Tell it to 'Refire webhooks for all submissions on the contact form that failed yesterday.' It will figure out the steps using `list_form_submissions` and `refire_webhooks` and execute the plan. You just see the result.
Keep Your Data Clean
Spam filters aren't perfect. This toolset lets you correct them. If Basin flags a real lead as spam, tell Windsurf 'That last submission wasn't spam.' Cascade will find it and use `mark_as_not_spam` to fix it. You can also perform permanent actions. Be careful with `delete_submission`, as there's no undo. It's a direct way to remove test data or clear out garbage submissions for good, all through your agent.
