Trigger BlazeMeter tests in Windsurf

Cascade handles the heavy lifting when you need to fire off a load test. You define the goal, and the agent uses `start_test` to kick off the validation process without manual intervention. Once the load generation begins, Windsurf tracks the progress. It pulls the status using `get_master` so you see exactly what is happening in your infrastructure at any moment.

Manage your BlazeMeter workspace

Stop jumping between browser tabs to find your project IDs. Use `list_projects` to pull your active workspace data straight into your editor context. Windsurf organizes these details for you. It maps your environment using `list_workspaces`, ensuring the agent knows exactly which resources are available for your current task.

Inspect performance data

Deep dive into your run results using `get_report` to see the actual math behind your load tests. It provides the raw data you need to spot bottlenecks before they hit production. This MCP server gives Cascade direct access to your test configurations. It uses `get_test` to verify your limits, keeping your performance targets visible while you write code.

Setup guide

Set up BlazeMeter MCP in Windsurf

Prerequisites

  • Windsurf IDE installed (macOS, Windows, or Linux)
  • Active Vinkius subscription with a valid endpoint token
  1. 1

    Open MCP configuration

Click the Cascade assistant icon in the sidebar, then click the hammer icon (🔨) at the top of the panel. Select "Configure" to open ~/.codeium/windsurf/mcp_config.json.

  2. 2

    Add the BlazeMeter MCP

Paste the JSON snippet shown on the right into the mcpServers object. Replace [YOUR_TOKEN_HERE] with your endpoint token from cloud.vinkius.com.

  3. 3

    Refresh MCPs

Go back to the hammer icon (🔨) in Cascade and click "Refresh". Windsurf will detect the new server. No full restart is needed — the connection is hot-reloaded.

  4. 4

    Verify in Cascade

Start a new Cascade conversation and ask something like "Show my BlazeMeter payment history." If connected, Cascade will call the BlazeMeter tools directly. You will see a green dot next to the server name in the MCP panel.

Common questions about BlazeMeter MCP in Windsurf

Open your MCP configuration file or the Cascade settings menu. Add the server details under the mcpServers key, then hit the refresh button to let Windsurf discover the tools.
Yes, Cascade can call `get_report` to pull your performance metrics. It then parses the data to show you exactly where your code is failing to meet load requirements.
Absolutely. You can instruct Cascade to list your tests, start one, and monitor the results in a single sequence of actions.
Use the `list_masters` tool. It enumerates your active records so you can see which jobs are currently active.
Your test configuration and workspace metadata are never stored locally by the server. We use ephemeral, zero-trust handling for every API call to keep your performance secrets isolated.
