Debate Bookeo tasks in AutoGen

Assign `list_payments` to a financial agent and `list_bookings` to an operations agent. They debate the revenue trends, with each agent challenging the other's interpretation of the data. This settles complex questions through internal negotiation. You get a final report that reflects a balanced view of your business performance.

Consensus-based booking management

Use `search_customers` as a source of truth for your agents. When an agent proposes a new booking, the other agents verify the history against the provided customer data. This prevents errors. An action is only executed if the agents agree the data supports the requested change.

Agent-driven workflow negotiation

Configure an agent to request `list_webhooks` and another to monitor the output. They negotiate whether current configurations meet your security requirements. This creates a self-correcting system. The agents identify gaps in your setup and propose adjustments without you needing to supervise every interaction.

Setup guide

Set up Bookeo MCP in AutoGen

Prerequisites

  • Python 3.10+ installed
  • autogen-ext[mcp] package
  • Active Vinkius subscription with a valid endpoint token
  1. 1

    Install AutoGen with MCP

    Run pip install "autogen-ext[mcp]" autogen-agentchat. The MCP extension includes mcp_server_tools for stateless tool access.

  2. 2

    Fetch tools from the MCP

    Call mcp_server_tools(SseServerParams(url=...)) with your Vinkius endpoint. Replace [YOUR_TOKEN_HERE] with your token from cloud.vinkius.com.

  3. 3

    Run your agent

    Pass the tools to AssistantAgent and call agent.run(). The agent invokes Bookeo tools and returns structured results.

agent.py
from autogen_ext.tools.mcp import SseServerParams, mcp_server_tools
from autogen_agentchat.agents import AssistantAgent
from autogen_ext.models.openai import OpenAIChatCompletionClient

server_params = SseServerParams(
    url="https://edge.vinkius.com/[YOUR_TOKEN_HERE]/mcp"
)

tools = await mcp_server_tools(server_params)

agent = AssistantAgent(
    name="Bookeo_assistant",
    model_client=OpenAIChatCompletionClient(model="gpt-4o"),
    tools=tools,
)

result = await agent.run("List recent Bookeo data")
print(result.messages[-1].content)

Common questions about Bookeo MCP in AutoGen

Map the server tools to your agent's function list. AutoGen automatically handles the schema conversion, allowing your agents to invoke them during conversation.
Multiple agents can be assigned the same tool set. They decide which one calls the tool based on their specific role and the current context of the debate.
If a tool call fails, the agent reports the error back to the group. The other agents then adjust their strategy or attempt a different approach to resolve the task.
You restrict access by assigning specific tools to individual agents. Only the agents with the required permissions can invoke booking or payment operations.
The server uses a single-token authentication model, and data is scoped only to the active agent session. We use ephemeral memory buffers to ensure sensitive profiles disappear once the conversation ends.
