How to Use the Buffer MCP in Cline
Cline handles your social media lifecycle by connecting your Buffer account directly to your VS Code workspace.
Works with every AI agent you already use
…and any MCP-compatible client
Connect Buffer MCP to Cline
Create your Vinkius account to connect Buffer to Cline and route execution through our secure gateway. The platform manages server hosting, runtime updates, and security layers. Configuration requires no manual server provisioning.
Cline executes social media tasks
Tell Cline to check your `list_sent_updates` and it will dump the history into your terminal. It grabs the data and formats it for your review. If you need to change your strategy, use `reorder_updates` to shift the queue. The agent performs the action and confirms the new order immediately.
Manage Buffer posts from Cline
Create new content with `create_update` without breaking your flow. Cline takes your draft, formats the link, and schedules it across your linked profiles. Need to verify your account status? Run `get_user` to pull your current settings into the chat. It gives you the full picture without opening a browser.
Automated queue maintenance in Cline
Cline can audit your pending posts using `list_pending_updates` to catch stale content. It finds the items and lets you decide what to keep. When you find a post that doesn't fit, `delete_update` removes it from the schedule. The agent manages the cleanup so you can get back to coding.
