How to Use the ByteNite MCP in Windsurf
Use ByteNite to manage distributed video encoding tasks directly within your Windsurf workspace.
Works with every AI agent you already use
…and any MCP-compatible client
Connect ByteNite MCP to Windsurf
Create your Vinkius account to connect ByteNite to Windsurf and route execution through our secure gateway. The platform manages server hosting, runtime updates, and security layers. Configuration requires no manual server provisioning.
Run encoding jobs from Windsurf
Trigger video processing tasks without leaving your IDE. Cascade uses `create_encoding_job` to push your video files into the ByteNite pipeline instantly. You can pull current progress reports by invoking `get_encoding_job`. It saves you from manual status checks on the web dashboard.
Manage templates and apps in Windsurf
View all your configured encoding templates with `list_templates`. Cascade reads these settings to ensure your output parameters match your project specs. Check your available software instances by running `list_apps`. You get direct visibility into your deployment environment without context switching.
Monitor ByteNite health in Windsurf
Keep tabs on your account performance using `get_account_info`. This keeps your technical overhead low while you focus on code. Run `get_system_info` to verify the operational state of your encoding nodes. It provides the data you need to debug infrastructure bottlenecks immediately.
