CLI-Driven Capsulink URL Management

Claude Code runs the MCP Server's `shorten_url` directly from your command line to generate compact links during automated deployments. You pass a messy staging URL, and your agent returns a clean production link ready to pipe into a Slack notification script. Fixing a bad redirect takes seconds. Running `edit_link_destination` updates the routing backend without opening a browser tab. DevOps engineers can patch broken campaign links mid-incident right from their SSH session.

Fetch Click Metrics via MCP Server

Checking traffic no longer requires logging into a web portal. Your CLI client executes `get_link_stats` to dump total hit counts straight into your terminal window. Generating weekly reports is completely scriptable. Claude Code calls `get_link_daily_stats`, formats the raw JSON into a readable summary, and appends it to your markdown logs.

Audit and Purge Links

Keeping a clean redirect inventory matters for active campaigns. Firing `list_links` and `list_link_folders` lets your agent audit every active URL associated with your account. Removing dead links happens fast. A quick command tells the agent to run `get_account_info` to check limits, followed by `delete_link` to nuke expired URLs from your system permanently.

Common questions about Capsulink MCP in Claude Code

Run `claude mcp add --transport http -- ` in your terminal. Ensure all flags come before the server name. Your configuration saves automatically to ~/.claude.json.
It works perfectly for headless automation. Your script can trigger `edit_link_destination` to swap out staging URLs for production ones right after a successful deployment.
Issue a prompt in your CLI to pull the metrics. The agent executes `get_link_daily_stats` and prints the time-series data directly to standard output.
Yes, your agent has full read access to your directory structure. Executing `list_link_folders` returns your current setup so you can map out where new links should go.
Vinkius isolates your data inside a strict V8 sandbox. The raw server paths, daily click metrics, and folder names are processed ephemerally. Nothing persists after your CLI command finishes executing.
