Connect Casting42 MCP to Cline
Create your Vinkius account to connect Casting42 to Cline and route execution through our secure gateway. The platform manages server hosting, runtime updates, and security layers. Configuration requires no manual server provisioning.
Build custom casting interfaces inside Cline
Tell Cline to write a React component for your casting directors. It invokes `list_talents` to fetch live records, builds the UI layout, and writes the integration code directly in your workspace. The agent tests the component using live data from `get_talent_details`. You watch the code get written and populated with real headshots in real-time.
Automate audition tag management
Cline can clean up your casting taxonomy by calling `list_talent_tags` over the MCP connection. It scans your project directory, identifies outdated tags, and updates your local configuration files to match the remote database. You get a clean, updated workspace without manually cross-referencing your talent database. The agent handles the diffs and stages the changes for you.
Export casting projects to local files
Ask Cline to generate a production report, and it runs `list_casting_projects` to gather the active list. It writes a clean CSV or JSON file in your project directory containing all the production details. You can quickly cross-reference this with `list_talent_categories` to group your cast members. Cline formats everything into ready-to-share sheets without leaving VS Code.
