How to Use the D-ID MCP in Windsurf
Let Windsurf's Cascade autonomously use this D-ID MCP Server to create and manage talking head videos for you.
Works with every AI agent you already use
…and any MCP-compatible client
Connect D-ID MCP to Windsurf
Create your Vinkius account to connect D-ID to Windsurf and route execution through our secure gateway. The platform manages server hosting, runtime updates, and security layers. Configuration requires no manual server provisioning.
Generate Videos in One Shot
This server gives your agent direct access to D-ID's video tools. Just tell Windsurf what you want the final video to say. Cascade takes it from there. It plans the whole job. Cascade can find a stock presenter with `list_presenters`, generate the video with `create_talk`, and then monitor the job with `get_talk`. You don't have to prompt each step; you just get a link to the finished video.
Manage Your Video Assets
See everything happening in your D-ID account without leaving your editor. Ask Windsurf to get a list of all your video projects. It uses the `list_talks` tool to show you every video's ID, status, and when it was created. Your agent can also keep an eye on your account's health. Before starting a large batch of renders, you can have Windsurf check your balance with `get_credits`. It's a simple way to avoid running out of resources mid-job.
Your D-ID MCP Server Tools
Go beyond the stock presenters and create truly custom videos. This MCP Server lets you upload a unique face image using `upload_image`. Then you can generate a talk from a pre-recorded track with `create_talk_audio`. Windsurf's Cascade can automate this entire custom workflow. Give it a goal like, "Create a welcome video using our CEO's headshot and this audio file." It will upload the image, create the talk, and notify you when the video is ready for download.
