How to Use the DataDome MCP in Windsurf
Let Windsurf's Cascade agent dig into your DataDome logs via this MCP Server, find threats, and report back on its own.
Works with every AI agent you already use
…and any MCP-compatible client
Connect DataDome MCP to Windsurf
Create your Vinkius account to connect DataDome to Windsurf and route execution through our secure gateway. The platform manages server hosting, runtime updates, and security layers. Configuration requires no manual server provisioning.
Audit Your Bot Protection
Ask Windsurf to check your protection status. This MCP server lets Cascade chain `list_protected_applications` and `list_protected_endpoints` to map out everything DataDome is covering right now. It then runs `get_protection_stats` on key endpoints to show you exactly how many requests are being blocked versus allowed. You get a full picture without writing a single line of code.
Investigate Threats with Windsurf
When you see something suspicious, just tell Windsurf to investigate. Cascade will start with `list_recent_threats` to get a high-level view of what's happening. From there, it can automatically pull `get_threat_details` for a specific incident ID, giving you the raw headers and detection logic without you ever leaving your IDE.
Monitor Endpoint Health
Point Windsurf at your endpoints and ask for a health check. It'll use `get_endpoint_health` to pull latency metrics and error rates for any protected URL. You can also have it check `get_bot_traffic_summary` to see if a spike in errors is tied to a recent bot attack. Cascade connects the dots for you.
