End-to-End Code Generation with Cline
The `chat_completion` tool gives Cline the direct ability to generate raw code blocks based on your workspace context. Cline reads your local files, sends the relevant snippets to DeepSeek, and writes the updated code directly back to your editor. Unlike passive chat boxes, Cline uses this MCP Server to act on the output. It calls `chat_prefix_completion` to guide the model's structure, ensuring the generated code fits your existing imports and architecture perfectly.
Complex Reasoning and Autonomous Debugging
The `deep_reasoning` tool exposes DeepSeek's internal thinking process directly to Cline's execution loop. When a test fails in your VS Code terminal, Cline inspects the reasoning logs via this MCP setup to figure out the exact logical bug. This integration prevents Cline from getting stuck in infinite loops. It reads the thought path, adjusts its debugging strategy, and edits the broken files so you don't have to write a single prompt.
Real-Time Token and Cost Control
The `get_token_usage` tool lets Cline track exactly how many tokens your coding tasks are consuming. Before Cline starts a massive refactor that touches dozens of files, it checks your budget footprint. By querying `get_balance` and `get_billing_details`, the agent keeps your spending transparent. You can see the exact cost of each autonomous run right inside the Cline VS Code sidebar.
