How to Use the Docker Hub MCP in Cursor
Agentic registry control for Cursor. Let the AI handle your Docker Hub workflow while you stay focused on writing code.
Works with every AI agent you already use
…and any MCP-compatible client
Connect Docker Hub MCP to Cursor
Create your Vinkius account to connect Docker Hub to Cursor and route execution through our secure gateway. The platform manages server hosting, runtime updates, and security layers. Configuration requires no manual server provisioning.
Direct integration with Cursor
Enable Agent mode to let your editor pull live registry data. You can run `list_repositories` to find the correct namespace without opening a browser tab. The AI reads the response from `get_repository` to understand your current project context. It makes working with external images feel like native file navigation.
Real-time tag discovery
Stop guessing which image version is current. Use `list_tags` to fetch the latest `v1.2.3` or `latest` digests directly into your Cursor chat. Your agent can compare these tags against your local Dockerfile. It ensures your code references the exact image version currently pushed to the registry.
Maintain repos from the editor
Create staging environments on the fly by calling `create_repository` through the agent. It saves you from manual setup steps during your coding sprint. When you finish a task, use `update_repository` to tweak visibility or documentation. It keeps your registry state synced with your active development.
