How to Use the Documint MCP in Windsurf
Let Cascade handle your document generation pipeline directly within Windsurf by connecting the Documint MCP Server.
Works with every AI agent you already use
…and any MCP-compatible client
Connect Documint MCP to Windsurf
Create your Vinkius account to connect Documint to Windsurf and route execution through our secure gateway. The platform manages server hosting, runtime updates, and security layers. Configuration requires no manual server provisioning.
Autonomous template management in Windsurf
Cascade reads your template list using `list_documint_templates` and identifies exact field requirements with `get_template_variable_audit`. It stops guessing which keys you need for your PDFs. Once it finds the right file, it pulls the schema via `get_template_configuration` to ensure your data payload matches. You just tell it the goal and it handles the rest.
Generate and track documents with Windsurf
Trigger `create_new_generation` to build PDFs on the fly while you stay in your code. The agent chains this with `get_generation_details` to verify the output without switching tabs. If something goes sideways, the agent uses `list_failed_doc_generations` to debug the payload. It fixes the mapping and tries again while you watch the diff.
Monitor account limits inside Windsurf
Keep an eye on your usage without leaving your editor. Cascade calls `get_documint_account_metadata` to check your current standing against your plan limits. It flags potential issues before your billing cycle hits a wall. This keeps your production pipeline moving without manual oversight.
