…and any MCP-compatible client
Connect Dokku MCP to Cursor
Create your Vinkius account to connect Dokku to Cursor and route execution through our secure gateway. The platform manages server hosting, runtime updates, and security layers. Configuration requires no manual server provisioning.
Run database migrations and commands from Cursor
`run_command` boots an isolated ephemeral container using your production image layers to run migrations or scripts safely. Cursor uses this tool to execute `npm run migrate` or database schema updates directly from the editor sidebar. If a migration fails or a script crashes, `get_logs` pulls down the container stdout and stderr to show you the exact line of code causing the error. This tight loop keeps you in your editor instead of hunting down logs in terminal tabs.
Control your app configuration with this MCP Server
`set_config` updates your environment variables inside the Cursor Composer, initiating a rolling update to apply the changes without downtime. The editor can automatically generate new API keys and apply them to your Dokku host in one step. To verify that your variables are applied correctly, `list_config` extracts the current environment dictionary from the Dokku VM. You can also run `unset_config` via Cursor to strip out stale or compromised environment variables instantly.
Provision new environments and scale containers
`create_app` allocates the network reverse-proxy hooks on your VM, setting up Nginx or Traefik before you push your local branch. Cursor initiates this process when you start a new feature branch, preparing the server for your code. Managing active workloads is handled by this MCP Server's `ps_scale` tool, which spins container counts up or down based on your instructions. If your code edits require a clean slate, `ps_restart` bounces the containers to apply the changes.
