Enterprise identity control via Google ADK

Enterprise teams running Gemini models can now link their cloud workflows directly to Domo using Google ADK. This MCP Server exposes tools like `create_user` so your Google agent can provision Domo seats based on real-time organizational changes. When an employee departs, your Google ADK agent uses `delete_user` to revoke Domo access immediately. This direct connection ensures your Google ADK agents maintain tight control over your Domo analytics platform seats without manual IT tickets.

Automated group governance via MCP

Keeping Domo report access organized is tedious when managing Google ADK workflows. Your Google agent uses `create_group` to establish fresh security boundaries as soon as new Google Cloud data sources are connected to Domo. The Google ADK agent then executes `add_user_to_group` to grant immediate Domo access to the right analysts. If a user changes roles, the Google ADK agent runs `remove_user_from_group` to revoke their old viewing rights, keeping your Domo data siloed correctly.

Context-rich directory updates

Gemini models excel at processing massive contexts inside Google ADK. Your Google ADK agent can ingest a massive text file of department changes and use `update_user` to modify dozens of Domo profiles in a single run. By combining Google ADK long-context reasoning with specific Domo tool calls, the agent accurately updates titles, emails, and roles without losing track of details across large datasets.

Setup guide

Set up Domo MCP in Google ADK

Prerequisites

  • Python 3.10+ installed
  • google-adk package (pip install google-adk)
  • Active Vinkius subscription with a valid endpoint token
  1. 1

    Install Google ADK

    Run pip install google-adk to install the Agent Development Kit. MCP support is included via the McpToolset class.

  2. 2

    Connect via SSE transport

    Use McpToolset.from_server() with SseServerParams pointing to your Vinkius endpoint. Replace [YOUR_TOKEN_HERE] with your token from cloud.vinkius.com.

  3. 3

    Create an LlmAgent

    Pass the returned mcp_tools list directly to LlmAgent(tools=mcp_tools). The ADK maps each MCP tool to a native Gemini function call — no manual schema definitions required.

  4. 4

    Run with any Gemini model

    The agent works with any Gemini model (gemini-2.0-flash, gemini-2.5-pro, etc.). Copy the full example on the right to get started with Domo tools in your ADK agent.

agent.py
from google.adk.agents import LlmAgent
from google.adk.tools.mcp_tool.mcp_toolset import McpToolset
from google.adk.tools.mcp_tool.mcp_session_manager import SseServerParams

# Connect to the MCP via SSE
mcp_tools, exit_stack = await McpToolset.from_server(
    connection_params=SseServerParams(
        url="https://edge.vinkius.com/[YOUR_TOKEN_HERE]/mcp"
    )
)

# Create your agent with auto-discovered tools
agent = LlmAgent(
    name="Domo_agent",
    model="gemini-2.0-flash",
    instruction="You have access to Domo tools via MCP.",
    tools=mcp_tools,
)

Common questions about Domo MCP in Google ADK

Use the McpToolset class with your HTTP endpoint URL to load the Domo tools in Google ADK. Pass this toolset to your Gemini LlmAgent instance, and your model will immediately know how to use `create_user` and other Domo commands.
Yes, you can pass a tool_names filter to the Google ADK McpToolset constructor to restrict Domo access. This lets you expose safe tools like `add_user_to_group` to your Gemini agent while completely hiding destructive actions like `delete_user`.
Google ADK does support both transports for Domo. You can connect your Gemini agent using either transport method depending on whether you run the Domo MCP server locally or host it on a cloud endpoint.
The Google ADK agent reads your existing Domo directory structure. When you ask it to run `add_user_to_group`, the Google agent will identify the correct target Domo ID from the context or prompt you if it needs clarification.
All Domo user emails, names, and group memberships processed by Google ADK are handled in memory within secure, ephemeral Vinkius isolates. No Domo directory payloads are cached or stored on our servers, keeping your identity records completely private.
