How to Use the Drift MCP in Cline
Cline controls your Drift account with this MCP Server to automate contact management and conversation auditing.
Works with every AI agent you already use
…and any MCP-compatible client
Connect Drift MCP to Cline
Create your Vinkius account to connect Drift to Cline and route execution through our secure gateway. The platform manages server hosting, runtime updates, and security layers. Configuration requires no manual server provisioning.
Cline executes tasks using Drift data
Cline uses `list_latest_customer_interactions` to identify recent activity and determine which tickets require code-level investigation. It acts on the data immediately. By calling `get_contact_profile`, the agent gathers the necessary background info to solve support tickets. It handles the data retrieval so you can focus on the technical fix.
Sync contacts without leaving VS Code
Stop jumping between tabs to find lead info. Cline uses `search_contacts_by_email` to pull profiles directly into your current project context. It can then use `list_drift_contacts` to map out your user base. This makes it easy to build custom dashboards or local scripts that track specific customer segments.
Monitor platform health from the sidebar
Cline queries `get_drift_platform_metadata` to verify your account status and API rate limits. It keeps an eye on the infrastructure for you. If you need to audit team performance, the agent calls `list_drift_agents`. It formats the output so you can see exactly who is available to handle high-value leads.
