Set up E2B MCP in Cline

Prerequisites

VS Code with Cline extension installed
Active Vinkius subscription with a valid endpoint token

Open Cline MCP settings

Click the Cline icon in the VS Code sidebar to open the Cline panel. Then click the MCP Servers icon (server stack) at the top-right corner of the panel.

Add a remote server

Click "Remote Servers" at the top, then click "Add Remote MCP". In the Name field, type e2b-mcp. In the URL field, paste your Vinkius endpoint: https://edge.vinkius.com/[YOUR_TOKEN_HERE]/mcp. Get your token from cloud.vinkius.com.

Enable the server

After saving, the server appears in the Cline MCP panel. Toggle the switch to enable it. The status indicator turns green when the connection is live.

Start using tools

Return to the Cline chat and ask: "Check my latest E2B refund status." Cline will discover the available tools and request your approval before invoking each one — giving you full control over every action.

Navigate to the MCP Servers tab in the Cline sidebar. You can either use the marketplace or add the server manually via its URL.

The sandbox acts as a hard boundary between your local system and the code. Since Cline uses isolated microVMs, your host machine remains untouched.

E2B processes the temporary files and stdout logs generated by your code. It does not store your long-term project data or credentials.

Sandboxes are designed for short, execution-heavy tasks and default to a 300-second limit. If your task is a long-running process, you may need to re-initialize.

Calling the kill tool deletes the environment and its filesystem content permanently. There is no history to clear once the sandbox is terminated.
