Role-based venue management in CrewAI

Assign specific agents to different parts of your operation. One agent focuses on `list_bookings` for scheduling, while another uses `list_invoices` to keep track of revenue. This separation of concerns prevents any single agent from getting overwhelmed. Your crew collaborates to keep the venue running smoothly.

Shared memory for event logistics

Use CrewAI's shared memory to ensure your agents stay in sync. When an agent retrieves data with `get_event`, the rest of the crew knows exactly what's happening with that specific booking. This eliminates duplicate work and miscommunication. Your agents act as a cohesive unit that understands the entire lifecycle of an event.

Autonomous monitoring of sales events

Set up a monitor agent to watch your schedule for anomalies. If `list_events` returns an unexpected conflict, the monitor can alert a manager or trigger a secondary agent to fix the issue. It provides constant oversight without manual checking. You get a reliable system that works in the background to keep your sales pipeline clean.

Setup guide

Set up EventTemple MCP in CrewAI

Prerequisites

  • Python 3.10+ installed
  • crewai package (pip install crewai)
  • Active Vinkius subscription with a valid endpoint token
  1. 1

    Install CrewAI

    Run pip install crewai to install the framework. MCP support is built-in via the mcps parameter.

  2. 2

    Add the MCP URL to your agent

    Pass your Vinkius endpoint directly to the mcps list. Replace [YOUR_TOKEN_HERE] with your token from cloud.vinkius.com. CrewAI handles tool discovery and caching automatically.

  3. 3

    Kick off your crew

    Create a Crew with your agent and tasks. Call crew.kickoff() — the agent will automatically invoke EventTemple tools as needed.

crew.py
from crewai import Agent, Task, Crew

agent = Agent(
    role="EventTemple Analyst",
    goal="Access and analyze EventTemple data via MCP.",
    backstory="Expert analyst with direct EventTemple access.",
    mcps=[
        "https://edge.vinkius.com/[YOUR_TOKEN_HERE]/mcp"
    ],
)

task = Task(
    description="List recent EventTemple transactions",
    agent=agent,
    expected_output="A summary of recent activity",
)

crew = Crew(agents=[agent], tasks=[task])
result = crew.kickoff()
print(result)

Common questions about EventTemple MCP in CrewAI

You simply pass the Vinkius MCP URL into the `mcps` parameter of your Agent definition. CrewAI handles the connection and exposes the tools to your agents automatically.
Yes, you can use a tool filter to limit access. This is useful for giving one agent access to financial tools like `list_invoices` while restricting others to general scheduling.
It does. You can structure your agents so that a manager agent delegates tasks to specialized workers that use these tools to gather information.
You store your key in your environment variables. The MCP Server uses this securely during the connection process, so your agents never handle raw credentials.
Data security is managed at the Vinkius gateway level. Every interaction with your booking records is ephemeral and restricted to authorized agents via your unique token.
