Terminal-Based Evernote Search and Retrieval

Claude Code runs `search_notes` directly from your shell to query your Evernote account using native search syntax. Ditch the heavy GUI apps. It pulls down full note contents using `get_note` and renders the ENML format inside your terminal. You can pipe this output directly into local scripts or grep search it instantly.

Scripted Updates via Evernote MCP Server

Claude Code uses `create_note` to save terminal history, deployment outputs, or system metrics straight to Evernote. Automate your personal logging from the command line. To keep ongoing logs clean, it calls `update_note` to append new terminal outputs. This makes it easy to maintain a single running log file for daily server cron jobs.

Manage Notebook Structures from the CLI

Claude Code runs `list_notebooks` to inspect your account structure and discover where to save files. Organize your notes without leaving your SSH session. If you need a new directory, it executes `create_notebook` instantly. It also queries `list_tags` to tag your terminal logs, keeping your command-line output organized.
