Negotiate asset metadata changes in AutoGen

Set up a debate between a compliance agent and a creative agent to oversee `update_asset` calls. One agent can flag tags that don't meet company standards, forcing a discussion before the tool executes. This prevents the accumulation of messy metadata. You reach a consensus on how to categorize your library before any changes are written to the server.

Automate Fluxiom workflows with multi-agent debate

Use multiple agents to parse complex asset requests. One agent fetches data with `list_assets`, while another analyzes the results to determine if a `delete_asset` call is necessary. The agents challenge each other's findings. This deliberation process reduces the risk of accidental deletions and ensures high-quality asset management.

Audit Fluxiom account details through agent discussion

Task your agents with auditing account permissions using `get_account_details`. They can compare current settings against your security policy and propose adjustments. If the agents disagree, they flag the discrepancy for your review. This keeps your account configuration aligned with your operational requirements.

Setup guide

Set up Fluxiom MCP in AutoGen

Prerequisites

  • Python 3.10+ installed
  • autogen-ext[mcp] package
  • Active Vinkius subscription with a valid endpoint token
  1. 1

    Install AutoGen with MCP

    Run pip install "autogen-ext[mcp]" autogen-agentchat. The MCP extension includes mcp_server_tools for stateless tool access.

  2. 2

    Fetch tools from the MCP

    Call mcp_server_tools(SseServerParams(url=...)) with your Vinkius endpoint. Replace [YOUR_TOKEN_HERE] with your token from cloud.vinkius.com.

  3. 3

    Run your agent

    Pass the tools to AssistantAgent and call agent.run(). The agent invokes Fluxiom tools and returns structured results.

agent.py
from autogen_ext.tools.mcp import SseServerParams, mcp_server_tools
from autogen_agentchat.agents import AssistantAgent
from autogen_ext.models.openai import OpenAIChatCompletionClient

server_params = SseServerParams(
    url="https://edge.vinkius.com/[YOUR_TOKEN_HERE]/mcp"
)

tools = await mcp_server_tools(server_params)

agent = AssistantAgent(
    name="Fluxiom_assistant",
    model_client=OpenAIChatCompletionClient(model="gpt-4o"),
    tools=tools,
)

result = await agent.run("List recent Fluxiom data")
print(result.messages[-1].content)

Common questions about Fluxiom MCP in AutoGen

You assign roles to different agents, allowing them to verify tool arguments before execution. They discuss the intent of each command to ensure accuracy.
Yes, you can require a 'security' agent to sign off on any `delete_asset` request. If the debate doesn't reach consensus, the operation is blocked.
The MCP server handles auth via a single endpoint token. Your data stays within the secure sandbox, invisible to unauthorized agents or external observers.
Agents use `list_tags` to understand the current structure before proposing new ones. They debate the utility of each tag to maintain a clean taxonomy.
The debate continues until they find a solution or escalate to you. This ensures that every tool call has been vetted by multiple perspectives.
