How to Use the Framer MCP in Windsurf
Let Cascade edit, manage, and publish your Framer sites directly from your Windsurf workspace.
Works with every AI agent you already use
…and any MCP-compatible client
Connect Framer MCP to Windsurf
Create your Vinkius account to connect Framer to Windsurf and route execution through our secure gateway. The platform manages server hosting, runtime updates, and security layers. Configuration requires no manual server provisioning.
Autonomously sync and publish Framer sites with Windsurf
The `publish_site` tool lets Cascade push live design and content updates to your production domain without you clicking around the browser. Cascade reads your local markdown files, maps them to your schema, and triggers a build in one shot. You specify the target project, and this MCP Server handles the rest. Skip the manual export-import hassle of the Framer visual editor when using Windsurf.
Chain CMS updates in Windsurf without manual intervention
The `create_collection_item` tool gives Cascade direct write access to your Framer CMS collections. When you feed it a directory of draft files, the agent runs a sequence to check existing entries and inject new ones. Cascade uses `list_collections` first to locate the right database schema. It then populates the fields programmatically, keeping your live blog or portfolio perfectly mirrored.
Audit your layout structure from the Windsurf editor
The `list_pages` tool exposes your entire site map directly to Cascade for real-time validation. Cascade scans this page list to map out internal links or find layout inconsistencies before you push changes. By pairing this MCP Server with `get_site_info`, the agent validates your staging setup against production. You get a clean structural overview without opening a single browser tab.
