Automated audio retrieval in Cline

Cline executes `search_sounds` to find clips based on your technical requirements. It filters through thousands of files to isolate the ones you actually need. This keeps your workflow moving without manual browser tabs. The agent handles the query and returns the list of candidate files.

Directly ingest audio files

Trigger `download_sound` to save assets to your workspace. Cline manages the download process so you can focus on building your app. It verifies the file path after the transfer is complete. You get the raw audio ready for use in your project.

Manage your sound library

You can use `get_user_sounds` to pull your own uploaded assets into the editor. It helps you keep track of your library via the MCP Server. If you need details on specific files, `get_sound` provides the full metadata. You see the technical specs without jumping to a browser.

Common questions about Freesound MCP in Cline

Cline uses the `search_sounds` tool to query the database. It interprets your natural language request and converts it into a valid API call.
Absolutely. Use the `download_sound` tool to pull the file into your current workspace. The agent handles the file system operations for you.
Your authentication is handled via a single endpoint token. The server only processes the specific audio data you request during your session.
Use `get_pending_uploads` to see if your files are still in moderation. The agent reports back with the current status of your items.
Yes. Calling `get_pack` allows the agent to inspect any pack you specify. It provides the metadata for every sound contained within that pack.
