Connect Freesound MCP to Windsurf
Create your Vinkius account to connect Freesound to Windsurf and route execution through our secure gateway. The platform manages server hosting, runtime updates, and security layers. Configuration requires no manual server provisioning.
Direct audio search in Windsurf
Cascade uses `search_sounds` to query the database using your specific tags or Solr-style filters. It identifies the right clips for your project immediately. Once the results appear, the agent parses the metadata and presents the best matches. You don't have to manually browse the web interface anymore.
Instant file acquisition
After finding the perfect effect, `download_sound` pulls the high-quality file straight into your project folder. It handles the stream so you can keep working. Windsurf sees the file immediately after the transfer finishes. You spend less time moving assets and more time editing.
Deep metadata inspection
Use `get_sound` to verify sample rates, bit depths, and license info before you commit to a file. This MCP Server ensures you know exactly what you are importing. It prevents compatibility issues by letting the agent check technical specs first. No more surprises when you drop a file into your timeline.
