Autonomous board management in Windsurf
Cascade doesn't just read your tasks; it acts on them. You can tell it to move a ticket or spin up a new project, and it uses `create_project` or `create_workspace` to handle the heavy lifting while you focus on the code. It keeps your context clean by pulling live data directly into the chat. When you need to check the current sprint, Cascade runs `list_tasks` and `list_workflows` to give you an immediate status report.
Direct project insights via Windsurf
Stop switching tabs to look up project health. You can prompt Cascade to run `project_stats` or `workspace_stats` so it can analyze your team's velocity and output right inside your editor. It maps your workflow by calling `list_projects` and `get_project` to ensure the agent is always looking at the right board. This keeps your task management synced with your actual development environment.
Real-time task control using this MCP Server
Fetch specific details on any ticket by using `get_task`. The agent parses the UUID and brings the current state of the work directly into your active file context. Updating your status is just as fast. By using `list_labels` and checking `my_role`, the agent ensures you have the right permissions to modify the board state without triggering API errors.
