Connect Goodreads MCP to Windsurf
Create your Vinkius account to connect Goodreads to Windsurf and route execution through our secure gateway. The platform manages server hosting, runtime updates, and security layers. Configuration requires no manual server provisioning.
Autonomous book search and discovery
Cascade uses `search_books` to find titles and `get_book_info` to grab metadata without you leaving the editor. It scans the data to build reading lists or research topics based on your specific project requirements. This MCP server handles the heavy lifting of data retrieval. When you ask for a series, the agent calls `get_series_metadata` to map out the entire collection, ensuring your context remains accurate and current.
Deep dive into author and reader data
Your agent uses `get_author_profile` and `list_author_books` to understand an author's back catalog. It pulls this info directly into your workspace so you can analyze trends or writing styles in real-time. When you need to verify sentiment, the agent runs `get_user_reviews`. It fetches raw feedback from readers, allowing you to gauge how specific books perform with target audiences.
Manage shelves with Windsurf
You can organize your research by tapping into `get_user_shelves_list`. The agent pulls your custom shelves, letting you see exactly what you’ve tagged without switching apps. Your agent secures this context by linking your profile via `get_user_public_profile`. It keeps your library data synced with your current development goals.
