Inspect Google Forms with Cline

Cline calls `get_form_metadata` to see the structure of your forms. It reads the labels and field IDs, allowing the agent to understand your data requirements before it starts coding. This is much faster than checking the console or browsing the API docs. You get the schema directly in your chat sidebar.

Automate data retrieval for Cline

The `get_form_responses` tool lets Cline grab your submission data on command. The agent takes that data and uses it to populate your local development environment or test suites. It removes the need for manual data entry during development. Cline handles the request, parses the JSON, and prepares the data for your application.

Run local tests with an MCP Server

Cline can run scripts that use this MCP Server to verify your form integration. It fetches real responses to test your parsing logic against actual user input. This ensures your code works with real-world data shapes. It's a tighter feedback loop than manually mocking responses.

Common questions about Google Forms MCP in Cline

Go to the MCP Servers icon in your Cline sidebar. You can add the server via the Marketplace tab or by manually entering the URL in the Remote Servers section.
No, Cline handles the session tokens provided by the Vinkius endpoint. Your private data remains local to your environment during the task execution.
Cline only executes the tools you authorize. The server strictly accesses the form metadata and responses you request and nothing else.
Cline will detect the change when it calls the metadata tool again. It updates its internal context so your code doesn't break when the form structure shifts.
The server follows standard API patterns. If you request too much data too quickly, you should implement backoff logic in your agent prompts to manage the request frequency.
