Autonomous home automation in Windsurf
Cascade reads your current project context to propose smart home actions. It uses `call_ha_service` to adjust lights or climate based on your code activity. Stop switching windows to fix your smart home. Windsurf chains these requests to ensure your environment matches your development session.
Real-time state monitoring for Windsurf
Query your local sensors using `get_entity_state` to pull live data into your workspace. It fetches specific values for temperature, humidity, or power consumption instantly. Feed this data into your scripts or local tests. You get an accurate view of your living space without ever opening a browser dashboard.
Explore your Home Assistant MCP Server
Discover every available device and service by running `list_entity_states` and `list_available_services`. This reveals the exact entity IDs and capabilities currently active in your home. Use this to map out your infrastructure. Once you know your entities, you can build complex automation sequences that Windsurf executes reliably.
