…and any MCP-compatible client
Connect KanbanTool MCP to Cline
Create your Vinkius account to connect KanbanTool to Cline and route execution through our secure gateway. The platform manages server hosting, runtime updates, and security layers. Configuration requires no manual server provisioning.
Connect Commits to Cards
Cline bridges the gap between your editor and your project board. Tell it to fix a bug, and it does more than just write code. It can start by using `get_task_details` to pull the requirements and acceptance criteria directly into your workspace. Once you approve the code, Cline can use `update_task_details` to automatically add a comment to the KanbanTool card with the commit hash and then move it to the 'Ready for Review' column. Your board stays perfectly in sync with your repository, without you doing it manually.
Run Batch Operations with Cline
Your AI agent is perfect for cleaning up the board. Just tell Cline, "Find every task on the 'Mobile App' board in the 'Done' column and archive them." It gets the job done without you clicking a single button. Cline will execute a sequence: `list_board_tasks` to get the card IDs, then loop through each one to call `archive_task_card`. This lets you perform bulk administrative actions on your KanbanTool boards with a single, plain-English command.
Scaffold Features and Tickets Together
Kick off new work in a single step. When you ask Cline to "Scaffold the new API endpoint for user profiles," it doesn't just create the boilerplate code and file structure. It also talks to your project management tools. After creating the local files, Cline can call `create_task_card` multiple times to populate your KanbanTool board with tickets for implementation, testing, and documentation. The project board reflects the new work the moment it begins.
