Share KanbanTool context in VS Code Copilot
Every developer on your team gets immediate access to sprint priorities through the `list_boards` and `list_board_tasks` tools. You commit the MCP configuration to your repository, and suddenly everyone can ask Copilot what they should work on next. It standardizes the workflow across the entire organization. Filtering board data for specific engineers relies on the `get_user_profile` tool. The agent identifies who is currently logged in and shows only the cards assigned to that specific person. Nobody wastes time reading tickets they don't own.
Modify sprint items from the editor
Card statuses shift the moment your pull request merges via the `update_task_details` tool. You tell Copilot that the feature is complete, and it handles the API call to move the item across the board. You stay focused on the code. Stale items clear out of your active view when your AI client runs the `archive_task_card` operation. When a bug is rejected or a duplicate ticket appears, the agent removes it. Your team works from a clean slate every morning.
Inspect requirements via MCP Server
Exact specifications for complicated features pull down through the `get_task_details` tool. Copilot reads the card's custom fields and attachments, then uses that information to suggest the correct architecture for your new module. The AI builds on top of your actual business logic. Scanning the history of a card requires the `list_task_activities` tool to see who changed the requirements last Tuesday. Your agent reads the audit trail, giving you the context you need before you start writing code. It prevents you from building the wrong thing.
