How to Use the Katana MCP in Cursor
Let Cursor's agent write Katana API code for you, using live inventory and product data from your ERP.
Works with every AI agent you already use
…and any MCP-compatible client
Connect Katana MCP to Cursor
Create your Vinkius account to connect Katana to Cursor and route execution through our secure gateway. The platform manages server hosting, runtime updates, and security layers. Configuration requires no manual server provisioning.
Generate Code with Live ERP Data
Stop using mock data for your Katana integrations. Tell Cursor's agent to fetch actual product info with `list_products` or check stock with `get_inventory_by_variant`. The agent gets a live JSON response back from your real Katana account. Then, you can ask it to write a Python script or a TypeScript function that processes that exact data structure. The code it generates works on the first try because it's based on real-world output, not a guess from the API docs.
Automate Order and Inventory Scripts
You can build automation scripts right in the editor. For example, ask the agent to draft a Node.js script that pulls all open sales orders with `list_sales_orders` and flags any that are more than three days old. It's much faster than writing the boilerplate yourself. The agent can chain commands, too. It can fetch a customer ID with `list_customers`, then use that ID to draft the payload for the `create_sales_order` tool. You just review the generated code and run it.
Your Katana MCP Server for Code Generation
This MCP server connects Cursor directly to your manufacturing backend. Instead of looking up endpoints in another window, you have 11 ready-to-use tools for your agent to call. It knows how to query for materials, suppliers, and purchase orders. Imagine you're building an internal dashboard. You can ask the agent: 'Fetch all manufacturing orders with `list_manufacturing_orders` and generate a React component to display them in a table.' It does the API call and writes the component code in one step.
