Share this Kintone MCP Server across your team

Commit your MCP configuration directly to your repository. Every developer on the team gets instant access to the database tools without manual setup steps. Your agent can run `list_apps` to find workspaces or `get_space_details` to check team permissions. It keeps everyone on the same page without leaving the editor.

Read database fields in VS Code Copilot

Don't waste time digging through online documentation to find field types. This MCP server runs `get_app_fields` to fetch the exact schema of your database tables in real-time. This lets you write precise integration code on the first try. You can verify field types and keys before writing a single line of database logic.

Manage records in bulk from the chat

Writing scripts to clean up database entries is a waste of time. Your agent runs `add_records` or `update_records` to handle bulk changes directly from your chat prompt. When you need to prune old test entries, the agent executes `delete_records`. It handles the API payload formatting and execution behind the scenes.

Setup guide

Set up Kintone MCP in VS Code Copilot

Prerequisites

  • VS Code 1.99 or later with GitHub Copilot extension
  • Active Vinkius subscription with a valid endpoint token
  1. 1

    Open MCP configuration

Open the Command Palette (Cmd+Shift+P / Ctrl+Shift+P) and run "MCP: Add Server". Select HTTP (Streamable) as the server type. VS Code will create .vscode/mcp.json in your workspace.

  2. 2

    Add the Kintone MCP

Paste the JSON snippet shown on the right into your .vscode/mcp.json. Replace [YOUR_TOKEN_HERE] with your endpoint token from cloud.vinkius.com.

  3. 3

    Switch to Agent mode

Open Copilot Chat (Cmd+Shift+I / Ctrl+Shift+I) and switch to Agent mode using the dropdown. MCP tools are only available in Agent mode — they do not appear in Edit or Ask modes.

  4. 4

    Verify the connection

In the Copilot Chat input, type # to list available tools. You should see the Kintone tools listed. Try asking: "List my recent Kintone transactions" and Copilot will invoke them automatically.
