How to Use the Kisi MCP in Cursor
Inject live Kisi access control data and user IDs directly into your code with Cursor.
Works with every AI agent you already use
…and any MCP-compatible client
Connect Kisi MCP to Cursor
Create your Vinkius account to connect Kisi to Cursor and route execution through our secure gateway. The platform manages server hosting, runtime updates, and security layers. Configuration requires no manual server provisioning.
Build with Real User Data
Stop hardcoding placeholder IDs in your admin scripts. With Cursor's agent mode, you can tell it to `list_users` from your actual Kisi account. It pulls the real names and IDs, letting you build functions that work on the first try. Take it a step further by mapping roles. Have your agent `list_role_assignments` and then generate a Python dictionary or a TypeScript enum of your access levels. This makes writing accurate permission-checking logic much faster because you're not guessing at role names.
Script Physical Access Controls
You can write code that interacts with the physical world. Ask your agent to `list_places` and then `list_locks` to find the exact ID for the server room door. No more digging through API docs or an admin panel. Then, tell Cursor: "Write a script that uses the `unlock_door` tool to open the lock with ID 555-123." It will generate working code that calls the MCP tool, ready for you to integrate into an internal dashboard or a CI/CD task for physical deployments.
A Kisi MCP Server for Your Editor
This MCP server connects Cursor directly to the Kisi API. It gives your AI agent a toolkit for managing your building's security system. You don't just talk about code; you generate code that uses live, real-world data. This changes how you build internal tools. Instead of mocking API calls to a security system, you can use the agent to perform real actions. Ask it to `get_lock_details` and use that live JSON response to structure your data models correctly from the start.
