How to Use the Lunatask MCP in Cline
Let Cline build software and manage your encrypted Lunatask backlog end-to-end without leaving your VS Code workspace.
Works with every AI agent you already use
…and any MCP-compatible client
Connect Lunatask MCP to Cline
Create your Vinkius account to connect Lunatask to Cline and route execution through our secure gateway. The platform manages server hosting, runtime updates, and security layers. Configuration requires no manual server provisioning.
End-to-end development tracking with Cline
Running `create_new_task` inside Cline lets the VS Code agent document development tasks directly on your Lunatask board as they arise. Once the code passes your local tests, Cline uses `update_existing_task` to mark the work as completed, keeping your Lunatask project board perfectly aligned with your active VS Code workspace.
Automated habit logging during VS Code sessions
The `track_habit_completion` tool lets Cline log your active development hours directly to your encrypted Lunatask habit tracker. You don't have to break your focus in VS Code to open another app, as Cline handles the API call in the background to secure your Lunatask streak.
Clean up stale project issues using this MCP Server
You can use `list_tasks_metadata` to let Cline scan your active Lunatask items and match them against your local workspace files. If Cline finds abandoned features in your workspace, it runs `delete_task` to remove the clutter from your Lunatask board without manual sorting.
