How to Use the Lunatask MCP in Cursor
Inject real-time task data from Lunatask into your coding sessions within Cursor.
Works with every AI agent you already use
…and any MCP-compatible client
Connect Lunatask MCP to Cursor
Create your Vinkius account to connect Lunatask to Cursor and route execution through our secure gateway. The platform manages server hosting, runtime updates, and security layers. Configuration requires no manual server provisioning.
Automate task updates in Cursor
Use `create_new_task` and `update_existing_task` to keep your project backlog current while you write code. Your agent handles these calls directly, meaning your task state stays in sync with your development progress. It removes the friction of jumping between your IDE and your productivity app. You can trigger these updates as part of your natural coding flow.
Track habits while you build in Cursor
Call `track_habit_completion` when you finish a coding session or a specific milestone. It logs your work habits without forcing you to leave the editor window. This keeps your focus on the code. You get to maintain your personal metrics while staying deep in your build environment.
Query task metadata via the Lunatask MCP Server
Run `list_tasks_metadata` to see what is on your plate without breaking your concentration. The server provides the necessary structure, allowing the agent to assist with scheduling and prioritization. Need more detail? Use `get_task_metadata` to inspect specific items. It is a clean way to stay organized while the AI writes your code.
