How to Use the Marqeta MCP in Cursor
Build and test card features in Cursor using live API responses.
Works with every AI agent you already use
…and any MCP-compatible client
Connect Marqeta MCP to Cursor
Create your Vinkius account to connect Marqeta to Cursor and route execution through our secure gateway. The platform manages server hosting, runtime updates, and security layers. Configuration requires no manual server provisioning.
Inject live Marqeta data into Cursor code
Your agent can now call `get_balances` or `get_card` and paste the actual output into your codebase. No more guessing what the API structure looks like while you write your integration logic. It works during the edit process. When you ask your agent to build a new payment feature, it uses real data to shape the code, ensuring your implementation matches the actual platform behavior.
Automate card issuing logic
Write scripts that use `create_card_product` and `create_user` as if they were local functions. The agent understands the tool definitions, allowing it to scaffold complex onboarding flows in seconds. This keeps your code accurate. Because the agent interacts with the actual API, you avoid the common trap of writing stubs that break the moment you hit production.
Debug payment flows in the editor
Run `simulate_authorization` inside Cursor to verify your logic before you commit. You can see how your code responds to various transaction outcomes without leaving your file tree. It’s a tight loop. You write the code, call the simulation tool, and refine your logic based on the instant JSON feedback you receive.
