How to Use the Messari MCP in Cline

Works with every AI agent you already use
…and any MCP-compatible client
Connect Messari MCP to Cline
Create your Vinkius account to connect Messari to Cline and route execution through our secure gateway. The platform manages server hosting, runtime updates, and security layers. Configuration requires no manual server provisioning.
Cline executes asset lookups
Cline uses `search_assets` to map tickers to data points. It handles the heavy lifting of parsing complex JSON responses into usable formats for your project. When you need deep dives, Cline invokes `get_asset_details` and `get_asset_profile` to build your local research documentation.
Direct market analysis for Cline
This MCP Server allows Cline to pull `get_asset_metrics` and `get_asset_market_data` directly into your terminal environment. It writes the data to files so you can run your own math. Stop copying and pasting numbers. Tell Cline the asset and the metric, and it fetches the exact value from the source.
Governance tracking in Cline
Stay informed on protocol changes by letting Cline query `list_governance_events`. It keeps your project documentation updated with the latest proposal cycles. Combine this with `get_crypto_news` to track how community sentiment reacts to specific governance shifts. Cline correlates these events automatically.
