How to Use the Messari MCP in Cursor
Generate code using live Messari crypto metrics directly inside your Cursor editor.
Works with every AI agent you already use
…and any MCP-compatible client
Connect Messari MCP to Cursor
Create your Vinkius account to connect Messari to Cursor and route execution through our secure gateway. The platform manages server hosting, runtime updates, and security layers. Configuration requires no manual server provisioning.
Build trading algorithms with real Messari data
`get_asset_market_data` feeds real-time price feeds directly to your Cursor agent while you write trading scripts. You don't have to write code against stale mock data anymore. By integrating this MCP Server, your editor pulls live order book and market status. This ensures your backtesting scripts run against actual, current market conditions.
Generate data-driven research files using this MCP Server
`get_asset_metrics` extracts on-chain metrics, active addresses, and developer activity directly into your active workspace. Your agent writes markdown reports based on live blockchain stats instead of outdated training data. You can also call `list_assets` to populate configuration files with verified token IDs. It keeps your codebase clean and prevents typos in token smart contract references.
Track governance events in Cursor
`list_governance_events` lets you monitor DAO proposals and protocol upgrades directly inside Cursor. Your agent can pull these events and write test cases to prepare for upcoming smart contract migrations. Combine this with `get_crypto_news` to track market sentiment surrounding these governance decisions. You get a complete picture of protocol changes without switching to a web browser.
