Connect Modrinth MCP to Cline
Create your Vinkius account to connect Modrinth to Cline and route execution through our secure gateway. The platform manages server hosting, runtime updates, and security layers. Configuration requires no manual server provisioning.
Build automated modpack installers inside Cline.
Tell Cline to build a custom installer script, and it will write the code while pulling live data from Modrinth. It uses `search_projects` to find the target mods and writes the download logic directly into your workspace files. The agent doesn't just write the code; it executes `get_project` to verify the project URLs and structures. It runs tests on the generated installer to make sure it runs without errors.
Let the Cline MCP Server manage version manifests.
Keeping manifests updated is tedious. Cline automates this by calling `list_versions` to check for updates to your installed mods and rewriting your JSON manifests on the fly. It uses `get_version` to grab the exact hash and download URL for the latest stable build. Cline then stages the modified manifest in git so you can review the diff.
Verify project popularity and community metrics.
Cline helps you filter out dead projects before writing them into your setup. It uses `list_project_followers` to gauge community interest and active engagement. By coupling this with `search_users` and `list_user_projects`, the agent can build a curated list of high-quality plugins that meet your strict criteria.
