Connect Modrinth MCP to Cursor
Create your Vinkius account to connect Modrinth to Cursor and route execution through our secure gateway. The platform manages server hosting, runtime updates, and security layers. Configuration requires no manual server provisioning.
Query Modrinth projects inside Cursor
`search_projects` fetches live Minecraft mod data into your editor using this MCP Server. You can query specific loaders like Fabric or Forge alongside target game versions to find compatible assets. After finding a project, your editor can execute `get_project` to read its specifications. This puts exact project details right where you are writing your modpack scripts or plugin code.
Map dependency trees during development
`get_project_dependencies` returns the direct and indirect requirements for any mod listed on the platform. Your MCP client reads this raw JSON output to help you write accurate Gradle build files. You can run `list_versions` to see every published release of a mod. This prevents compilation errors by letting you verify compatibility before updating dependencies.
Verify mod creators using the MCP Server
`get_user_profile` queries the platform to retrieve profile details for any registered developer. Having this data inside your editor lets you quickly vet the reputation of third-party contributors. The companion tool `get_team_members` lists everyone authorized to publish updates for a project. This helps you confirm you are pulling files from the official maintenance team.
