CrewAI Operations Team

One agent cannot manage a busy clinic. CrewAI lets you split the workload. You assign a Receptionist agent to monitor `list_appointments` and flag upcoming conflicts. A separate Manager agent takes that data and runs `get_appointment` to verify specific booking details. They share memory and pass context back and forth. You get a self-correcting system that manages the calendar without human input.

Delegated Staff Management

Scheduling requires constant adjustments. You can build a Scheduler agent whose only job is checking `get_availability`. When a staff member calls in sick, the agent pulls the roster using `list_staff`. It then identifies affected bookings and drafts reschedule notices. The multi-agent setup isolates this task from your general customer service bot.

Automated Customer Intelligence

Your marketing agent needs data to run campaigns. It can autonomously poll `list_customers` to find clients who haven't visited in six months. Simultaneously, a QA agent runs `list_reviews` to find recurring complaints. The MCP Server feeds raw data into the pipeline. The agents analyze the JSON, synthesize the findings, and generate a daily operations report.

Setup guide

Set up MyTime MCP in CrewAI

Prerequisites

  • Python 3.10+ installed
  • crewai package (pip install crewai)
  • Active Vinkius subscription with a valid endpoint token
  1. 1

    Install CrewAI

    Run pip install crewai to install the framework. MCP support is built-in via the mcps parameter.

  2. 2

    Add the MCP URL to your agent

    Pass your Vinkius endpoint directly to the mcps list. Replace [YOUR_TOKEN_HERE] with your token from cloud.vinkius.com. CrewAI handles tool discovery and caching automatically.

  3. 3

    Kick off your crew

    Create a Crew with your agent and tasks. Call crew.kickoff() — the agent will automatically invoke MyTime tools as needed.

crew.py
from crewai import Agent, Task, Crew

agent = Agent(
    role="MyTime Analyst",
    goal="Access and analyze MyTime data via MCP.",
    backstory="Expert analyst with direct MyTime access.",
    mcps=[
        "https://edge.vinkius.com/[YOUR_TOKEN_HERE]/mcp"
    ],
)

task = Task(
    description="List recent MyTime transactions",
    agent=agent,
    expected_output="A summary of recent activity",
)

crew = Crew(agents=[agent], tasks=[task])
result = crew.kickoff()
print(result)

Common questions about MyTime MCP in CrewAI

Install the `crewai[tools]` package. Add your Vinkius URL directly to the `mcps` array in your Agent definition. The framework automatically discovers and maps the tools.
Yes. Use the `MCPServerHTTP` class and apply a `tool_filter`. You can give your booking agent access to scheduling tools while restricting your support agent to read-only functions.
You configure a background agent to run on a loop. It repeatedly calls `list_appointments`. When it detects a new entry, it passes the data to a downstream agent for processing.
Yes. An orchestration agent can run `list_locations` to map your business footprint. It then delegates location-specific tasks to regional sub-agents.
Security operates at the infrastructure level. When your agents retrieve employee shifts and customer service notes, Vinkius processes the payload in a strict, isolated sandbox that terminates instantly after the API handoff.
