BigQuery Context meets NeetoCal MCP

The NeetoCal MCP Server exposes `get_availability` and `get_slots` so your Google ADK agents can read real-time calendar data. You connect this server to your Gemini-powered agent, allowing it to cross-reference scheduling data with massive datasets in BigQuery. The agent finds the exact right time for a meeting based on complex enterprise constraints. Once the logic clears, the agent calls `create_booking`. Since Gemini handles million-token contexts, you can feed it a massive log of past meetings and user preferences before it makes a single scheduling decision.

Automated Link Distribution

Generating meeting entry points happens through the `get_scheduling_link` and `list_scheduling_links` tools. Your agent pulls these URLs and inserts them into automated Vertex AI workflows. It removes the manual step of copying and pasting calendar links into customer emails. When a customer needs to change a meeting, the agent uses `reschedule_booking` or `cancel_booking`. It reads the request, verifies the user's identity against your internal databases, and executes the modification directly on the backend.

Batch Retrieval & Status Checking

The `list_bookings` tool retrieves active appointments for any connected account. Your agent can pull this list and summarize the week's upcoming meetings in a single prompt response. It filters by date range or specific attendees. Before running any batch operations, the agent fires `check_neetocal_status` to ensure the API is responding. You pass the `McpToolset` directly to your `LlmAgent`, and it handles the HTTP transport automatically.

Setup guide

Set up NeetoCal MCP in Google ADK

Prerequisites

  • Python 3.10+ installed
  • google-adk package (pip install google-adk)
  • Active Vinkius subscription with a valid endpoint token
  1. 1

    Install Google ADK

    Run pip install google-adk to install the Agent Development Kit. MCP support is included via the McpToolset class.

  2. 2

    Connect via SSE transport

    Use McpToolset.from_server() with SseServerParams pointing to your Vinkius endpoint. Replace [YOUR_TOKEN_HERE] with your token from cloud.vinkius.com.

  3. 3

    Create an LlmAgent

    Pass the returned mcp_tools list directly to LlmAgent(tools=mcp_tools). The ADK maps each MCP tool to a native Gemini function call — no manual schema definitions required.

  4. 4

    Run with any Gemini model

    The agent works with any Gemini model (gemini-2.0-flash, gemini-2.5-pro, etc.). Copy the full example on the right to get started with NeetoCal tools in your ADK agent.

agent.py
from google.adk.agents import LlmAgent
from google.adk.tools.mcp_tool.mcp_toolset import McpToolset
from google.adk.tools.mcp_tool.mcp_session_manager import SseServerParams

# Connect to the MCP via SSE
mcp_tools, exit_stack = await McpToolset.from_server(
    connection_params=SseServerParams(
        url="https://edge.vinkius.com/[YOUR_TOKEN_HERE]/mcp"
    )
)

# Create your agent with auto-discovered tools
agent = LlmAgent(
    name="NeetoCal_agent",
    model="gemini-2.0-flash",
    instruction="You have access to NeetoCal tools via MCP.",
    tools=mcp_tools,
)

Common questions about NeetoCal MCP in Google ADK

Install `google-adk` and initialize `McpToolset` using `StreamableHttpServerParameters` with your Vinkius URL. Pass that toolset into the `tools` array of your `LlmAgent`.
Yes. You can use the `tool_names` filter when setting up the toolset. This lets you restrict an agent to just `get_slots` and `get_scheduling_link` while blocking write access like `create_booking`.
Gemini's massive context window lets you dump the output of `list_bookings` and `list_calendars` for dozens of users into a single prompt. The agent can analyze the entire company's schedule at once to find optimal meeting times.
The framework supports both Stdio and HTTP transports natively. For a hosted endpoint like this, you will use the HTTP transport to connect your cloud-hosted agent to the scheduling backend.
The tools touch attendee names, email addresses, and calendar event descriptions. Vinkius runs the connection in a zero-trust environment. The session dies immediately after the API call completes, leaving zero residual data behind.
