How to Use the Netdata MCP in Cline
Cline handles your infrastructure monitoring by connecting to the Netdata MCP Server for direct data access.
Works with every AI agent you already use
…and any MCP-compatible client
Connect Netdata MCP to Cline
Create your Vinkius account to connect Netdata to Cline and route execution through our secure gateway. The platform manages server hosting, runtime updates, and security layers. Configuration requires no manual server provisioning.
Automated incident response
Cline uses `get_alarms` to scan for active issues in your environment. It then cross-references those alarms with `get_agent_info` to see exactly which node is failing. It performs these steps without you needing to prompt every action. You get a summary of the state and the underlying data in one go.
Live dashboard generation
Tell your agent to build a report using `get_chart_data` for specific CPU or memory usage. It fetches the data and formats it into a readable file for your team. This removes the manual work of copying numbers from a web UI. The agent does the legwork while you review the output.
Infrastructure inventory management
Use the agent to map your entire stack by executing `list_spaces` and `list_rooms`. It builds a tree of your connected nodes so you know what is being monitored. This ensures you have visibility into every corner of your cluster. It keeps your monitoring setup organized and easy to query.
