Connect New Relic MCP to Cline
Create your Vinkius account to connect New Relic to Cline and route execution through our secure gateway. The platform manages server hosting, runtime updates, and security layers. Configuration requires no manual server provisioning.
Build live dashboards using Cline and New Relic
Cline doesn't just display your data; it uses `get_dashboard` to pull down your current New Relic layout configuration and writes local code to recreate those charts. The agent reads the dashboard schema and builds equivalent React or Vue components in your VS Code workspace. It uses `list_dashboards` to scan your New Relic account and select the correct template. You get a fully functional, styled monitoring component built entirely by Cline in your editor.
Fix active bugs with Cline
When Cline connects to the New Relic MCP Server, it pulls active incidents using `list_alerts`. It then matches the alert details with your local VS Code workspace files to find the buggy file. After identifying the file, Cline calls `get_apm_summary` to verify if memory usage or response times are spiking in New Relic. The agent edits the code, runs your local test suite, and prepares a git commit to resolve the incident.
Explore your telemetry architecture
Cline navigates your monitoring setup by calling `list_accounts` to find the correct New Relic workspace. It then queries `list_entities` to see every service, host, or serverless function currently reporting data. By calling `get_entity_details`, Cline learns the exact environment variables and tags of your New Relic infrastructure. This gives the agent the precise context it needs to write environment-specific deployment scripts in VS Code.
