…and any MCP-compatible client
Connect Nhost MCP to Cline
Create your Vinkius account to connect Nhost to Cline and route execution through our secure gateway. The platform manages server hosting, runtime updates, and security layers. Configuration requires no manual server provisioning.
End-to-end auth integration with Cline
The `signin_email_password` tool authenticates user accounts and returns active session data directly to your editor. Cline can run this tool, capture the session token, and use it to configure your local environment variables. This removes the manual back-and-forth of logging in through a browser. For passwordless flows, `signin_passwordless_email` sends magic links directly to your users. Cline can initiate this flow and write the corresponding frontend handler to catch the incoming session.
File operations directly in the workspace
The `upload_file` tool sends local assets directly to your storage bucket and returns the file metadata. Cline uses this to deploy assets required for your UI components without requiring manual drag-and-drop in the dashboard. You can also use `get_file` to download asset contents or `delete_file` to wipe old test assets. It gives your agent direct control over your storage bucket so it can build and clean up features autonomously.
User profile inspection and management
The `get_user` tool retrieves profile data for the currently authenticated user session. Cline can analyze this profile structure to write accurate TypeScript interfaces for your frontend components. If you need to test account modification flows, `change_email` and `reset_password` let you trigger email updates. Your agent can execute these actions to ensure your backend webhooks respond correctly to profile changes.
