Connect Node-RED MCP to Cline
Create your Vinkius account to connect Node-RED to Cline and route execution through our secure gateway. The platform manages server hosting, runtime updates, and security layers. Configuration requires no manual server provisioning.
Autonomous flow deployment
The `add_flow` and `delete_flow` tools from this MCP Server let Cline construct entirely new Node-RED endpoints without you ever opening the browser UI. You ask for a new webhook handler, and your agent writes the nodes, connects them, and pushes the configuration straight to the host. If something breaks, Cline doesn't just tell you about it. It pulls the active configuration via `get_flows`, finds the logic error, and rewrites the broken sequence using `set_flows`. You just review the changes in your VS Code sidebar and approve the fix.
Control Node-RED MCP Server settings
The `get_settings` tool pulls your exact runtime configuration directly into the editor context. Cline reads your current environment variables, custom node paths, and security policies before attempting to deploy new logic. This prevents failed deployments caused by missing dependencies. Your agent checks the active palette with `get_nodes`, realizes you lack a specific module, and triggers `install_node` to grab it before pushing the dependent flow.
Track memory and CPU usage
The `get_diagnostics` tool feeds real-time performance data back to your workspace. When Cline deploys a heavy data-processing pipeline, it can immediately check if the new nodes are causing memory leaks or spiking the processor. This turns VS Code into a complete operations console. Instead of waiting for a crash, your agent monitors the impact of its own changes and can automatically trigger a `delete_flow` if a newly added sequence destabilizes the system.
