Key Capabilities

Simulate call initiation debates.

You can set up an Agent debate where one agent proposes creating a meeting using `create_call`, and another challenges it by checking account limits via `get_account_info`. This forces consensus on whether the action is viable. It’s ideal for complex decision-making where multiple viewpoints must agree before proceeding.

Manage multi-step data collection.

Need to know everything about a call? Agent A can fetch details with `get_call_details`, while Agent B concurrently asks for AI insights using `get_ai_insights_for_call`. They debate the best way to synthesize this information. This parallel processing capability is built right into the agent flow.

Control webhooks and triggers.

You can build a system where one agent monitors for an event via `list_webhooks`, and another proposes creating a new trigger using `create_webhook`. This negotiation process ensures the webhook is necessary before it gets added. This moves beyond simple execution; you're building governance into your pipelines.

Setup guide

Set up SnapCall MCP in AutoGen

Prerequisites

  • Python 3.10+ installed
  • autogen-ext[mcp] package
  • Active Vinkius subscription with a valid endpoint token
  1. 1

    Install AutoGen with MCP

    Run pip install "autogen-ext[mcp]" autogen-agentchat. The MCP extension includes mcp_server_tools for stateless tool access.

  2. 2

    Fetch tools from the MCP

    Call mcp_server_tools(SseServerParams(url=...)) with your Vinkius endpoint. Replace [YOUR_TOKEN_HERE] with your token from cloud.vinkius.com.

  3. 3

    Run your agent

    Pass the tools to AssistantAgent and call agent.run(). The agent invokes SnapCall tools and returns structured results.

agent.py
from autogen_ext.tools.mcp import SseServerParams, mcp_server_tools
from autogen_agentchat.agents import AssistantAgent
from autogen_ext.models.openai import OpenAIChatCompletionClient

server_params = SseServerParams(
    url="https://edge.vinkius.com/[YOUR_TOKEN_HERE]/mcp"
)

tools = await mcp_server_tools(server_params)

agent = AssistantAgent(
    name="SnapCall_assistant",
    model_client=OpenAIChatCompletionClient(model="gpt-4o"),
    tools=tools,
)

result = await agent.run("List recent SnapCall data")
print(result.messages[-1].content)

Common questions about SnapCall MCP in AutoGen

You can design multiple agents to collaborate. One agent might initiate a call using `create_call`, while another waits for the resulting stream data, forcing deliberation on the next best move.
You can have an auditing agent read recent streams using `list_call_streams` and then use another agent to summarize those findings, creating a debate log of what happened.
Yes. You can assign one agent the role of 'Security Reviewer' who checks webhook definitions using `list_webhooks` against a list of known security standards, forcing a review before deployment.
The server handles call stream records. When passing these private conversation logs between agents for analysis, the system treats them as highly sensitive input that requires careful handling and access control.
You can use `create_video_clip_request` to generate a task, and then have two agents—one monitoring the request status and another writing cleanup code using `archive_call_stream`—to work on it simultaneously.
