Key Capabilities

Monitor Call Activity

Team members use `list_call_streams` to see a history of recent calls directly in the chat. Need more context? You can call `get_call_details` to pull every specific detail from an entire call stream. It’s great for onboarding new developers who need quick visibility into project assets.

Build Event-Driven Logic

To make your application reactive, use `create_webhook`. You can set up listeners that fire when a call starts (`call.started`) or when clip content is ready (`clip.created`). If the webhook isn't needed anymore, you remove it easily using `delete_webhook`.

Advanced Call Intelligence

Your AI client pulls deep insights from calls by calling `get_ai_insights_for_call`. This is key because it gives structured data summarizing the voice, video, and screen sharing that occurred. It also lets your team list all available call insights via `list_ai_skills_data`.

Setup guide

Set up SnapCall MCP in VS Code Copilot

Prerequisites

  • VS Code 1.99 or later with GitHub Copilot extension
  • Active Vinkius subscription with a valid endpoint token
  1. 1

    Open MCP configuration

    Open the Command Palette (Cmd+Shift+P / Ctrl+Shift+P) and run "MCP: Add Server". Select HTTP (Streamable) as the server type. VS Code will create .vscode/mcp.json in your workspace.

  2. 2

    Add the SnapCall MCP

    Paste the JSON snippet shown on the right into your .vscode/mcp.json. Replace [YOUR_TOKEN_HERE] with your endpoint token from cloud.vinkius.com.

  3. 3

    Switch to Agent mode

    Open Copilot Chat (Cmd+Shift+I / Ctrl+Shift+I) and switch to Agent mode using the dropdown. MCP tools are only available in Agent mode — they do not appear in Edit or Ask modes.

  4. 4

    Verify the connection

    In the Copilot Chat input, type # to list available tools. You should see the SnapCall tools listed. Try asking: "List my recent SnapCall transactions" and Copilot will invoke them automatically.

  "mcpServers": {
    "snapcall-mcp": {
      "url": "https://edge.vinkius.com/[YOUR_TOKEN_HERE]/mcp"
    }
  }
}

Common questions about SnapCall MCP in VS Code Copilot

The agent uses the `get_ai_insights_for_call` tool. Just point it to the call stream ID, and your code gets all the structured data required for processing.
Absolutely. You use `create_webhook` to set up triggers (like on a call start) and commit them to your repository config. If you need to remove one, just run `delete_webhook`.
This MCP Server touches call records and video clips. When using the `archive_call_stream` tool, your team controls whether or not that recorded media remains available to the project.
You can always get basic usage info by calling `get_account_info`. This keeps your team aligned on billing and quota limits while developing the integration.
You can create a new session using `create_call` or request specific media assets by calling `create_video_clip_request`. It gives you full control over the lifecycle.
