You get the unique identifier and risk score for any phone number using `get_phone_id` and `score_phone`. The system supports three ways to confirm a user's identity: SMS, Push, and Voice. Triggering these methods is simple; you just call the specific tool—like `send_sms` or `send_push_verification`—and wait for confirmation. This coverage lets your application adapt if one verification channel fails.

System Health Checks

Before running a full flow, you'll want to check the system status. Use `check_telesign_status` to verify API connectivity or run `check_verification` to see if an existing verification attempt succeeded or failed. If the number is deactivated, `check_deactivation` tells you right away.

Set up TeleSign MCP in Vercel AI SDK

Prerequisites

  • Node.js 18+ and a TypeScript project
  • ai + @modelcontextprotocol/sdk packages
  • Active Vinkius subscription with a valid endpoint token

    Install dependencies

    Run npm install ai @modelcontextprotocol/sdk plus your preferred model provider (e.g. @ai-sdk/openai).

    Create the Streamable HTTP transport

    Use StreamableHTTPClientTransport with your Vinkius endpoint URL. Replace [YOUR_TOKEN_HERE] with your token from cloud.vinkius.com.

    Discover and use tools

    Call mcpClient.tools() to auto-discover all TeleSign tools. Pass them directly to generateText() or streamText() — no manual schema definitions needed.
