Connect Todoist MCP to Cursor
Create your Vinkius account to connect Todoist to Cursor and route execution through our secure gateway. The platform manages server hosting, runtime updates, and security layers. Configuration requires no manual server provisioning.
Add new to-dos via `create_task`
`create_task` lets the AI write code that adds a brand-new item to your list. When you run this, it returns real data—not just sample text—so you can use it right away in your function. This is perfect for writing scripts that generate daily action items based on user input.
Marking tasks complete with `complete_task`
Use `complete_task` to write a block of code that marks an item as finished. The AI runs this against the live Todoist API, giving you confirmation and any associated metadata in your editor. It's great for building status-tracking features into an application.
Retrieving project info with `get_project_details`
`get_project_details` allows the agent to pull specific metadata about a Todoist project. Your code receives this live context—like the name or ID—and you can use it immediately in your script. It means your application isn't guessing; it knows exactly what project you're talking about.
