Check Repo Status in the Terminal

Run `get_repository_details` to get immediate status feedback for a repo. This tells you if your code is ready or what failed. You can also run `list_travis_repositories` to see every configured project. This lets DevOps engineers check dozens of repos from one script.

Control Build Execution

To kick off a build, use `trigger_new_build`. You supply the repo slug, git branch, and an optional message. It triggers the job in Travis CI. If you need to check what happened, start with `get_build_details` for full logs. Then, list jobs using `list_build_jobs`.

Audit Branches and History

Need a quick view of every branch's status? Run `list_repository_branches`. It lists all branches along with the latest build result. For deep historical checks, use `list_builds` to collect recent build executions for any given repository slug.

Common questions about Travis CI MCP in Claude Code

Use the `get_repository_details` tool. It pulls all necessary data to tell you if your repo passed its build or failed. This works perfectly in a headless environment.
Yes. First, get the ID using `get_build_details`. Then, you run `restart_travis_build` to force a new attempt on that specific build ID.
Yeah. The `list_travis_repositories` tool scans your account and prints every repository configured in Travis CI, making it a perfect part of an automation script.
The `cancel_travis_build` action immediately stops the execution. Keep in mind that this is irreversible for the current run; it just terminates the job.
Of course. Use `get_user_profile`. This retrieves your authenticated Travis CI user profile, confirming that the CLI agent has the proper scope to execute actions.
